Az első látásra merev tömbnek tűnő fotel alapanyaga a biomatracok gyártásánál alkalmazott kókuszrost. Részben ennek a rusztikus, durva anyagnak, részben pedig az egyszerű, kockaformának köszönhető, hogy először kényelmetlen és rugalmatlan benyomást kelt. A kókuszrost azonban, durva tapintása ellenére is hihetetlenül rugalmas, ennek köszönhetően kényelmes is.
A kókuszrost rétegeket természetes ragasztóanyaggal rögzítjük egymáshoz, ennek köszönhetően a K-okos fotel 100 %-ban biotermék. Az ilyen módon környezet-, kényelmességének és rugalmasságának köszönhetően pedig felhasználóbarát ülőalkalmatosság először 2004-ben, Udinéban, majd 2005-ben a milánói Salone Satelliten került bemutatásra. A milánói vásár során nem csak egy itáliai viszonteladó, hanem egy torinói szálloda tervezőinek érdeklődését is felkeltette, akik a hotel bárjának berendezéséhez rendeltek foteleket a Geppetto tervezőitől.
K-okos coconut chairAt first glance, the square block of this armchair may seem very rigid and uncomfortable. However, it is built from the material used for the manufacture of the all-natural mattresses – coconut fiber. Thanks to the use of this rustic, rough material, and the simplistic cubic shape, the first impression created by the armchair is of rigidity and lack of comfort. However, the coconut fiber is unbelievably flexible, and offers a very comfortable seating. The layers of coconut fiber are held together by all-natural glue, making the K-okos armchair a 100% bio product. The environment and – thanks to its flexibility – people friendly armchair was first exhibited in 2004 in Udine, and also in 2005 at the Salone Satellit in Milan. In Milan, the K-okos found not only a distributor for Italy, but was purchased by the designers of a Torino hotel to equip the hotel bar.
